Just Resting Your Eyes is a site-specific exhibition exploring love, memory, and dreams across three generations. Inspired by her family folklore, Angela Guerra Walley’s multidisciplinary artworks are presented alongside family heirlooms to examine societal expectations of women, particularly after marriage. The title references a phrase Guerra Walley’s father, Luis Angel Guerra, used throughout her childhood and makes a connection between the many moments we all close our eyes - to daydream, embrace, kiss, weep, sleep, dream, and die.
